On July 28th, LexYouth volunteers Athena Wang and Sophia Zhang hosted an Art and Sewing Workshop with the help of friends and several parents.
LexYouth teachers generously offered a wide range of complimentary online summer courses for the community.
The CALex and LexYouth booths were full of volunteers, eager to showcase the many gifts, games, cultural displays, and other activities to everyone who stopped by.
Rain and drizzle didn’t dampen spirits of CALex members in Lexington’s Patriots’ Day Parade on 4/17 with many other groups. Led by lion dances and followed by a dragon float, an upbeat group waiving balloon bouquets, and Wushu students, our unit was cheered on by bystanders.
Fifteen LexYouth volunteers — part of the Chinese Association of Lexington (CALex) — joined forces last week to raise money to support victims of the recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.
Volunteers from CALex and LexYouth held a Christmas concert for Greeley Village senior living.
Continuing the tradition of previous years, CALex organized volunteers to help the Lions Club deliver Thanksgiving meals to senior residents. This year, more than 110 residents in more than 70 households received Thanksgiving lunch.
CALex, LexYouth, and Foodlink were among the many clubs, organizations, and businesses attending Lexington’s Discovery Day celebration.
CALex and LexYouth organized a new school year meetup on Saturday. Parents got together, shared, chatted, and all kinds of questions about the school district and Lexington living were answered.
