On August 11th, 2024, CALex and LexYouth organized the Keys to Success Seminar. The seminar, hosted by Elissa Fan, invited four panelists, Joanna Liu, Athena Wang, Jolene Cai, and Alice Yin to share their experiences throughout high school and college applications.
The panelists provided tips on frequently discussed topics, such as time management, extracurricular activities, and applications. They focused strategies to balance academic work with extracurricular commitments and emphasized the importance of being passionate setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Reasonable, Time-bound) goals. Each panelist delved into their own middle and high-school life, sharing their approaches to the application process and offering insights into how they managed stress, selected the right activities for them, and crafted personal statements that fully reflected their experiences and aspirations.
The well-attended seminar received great feedback from over 230 guests, with many expressing appreciation for the incredibly useful and practical advice given by the panelists.
